In a major boost for the DMWD Foundation, Sport NSW, the peak body for the sporting industry in NSW, has provided a written endorsement of the DMWD Education program. Sport NSW is the voice of sport in NSW. It represents the interests of more than 80 state sporting organizations and 20 industry bodies. Sport NSW and its members deliver sport to an audience of 2.5 million participants annually. DMWD has been meeting with Sport NSW in recent months with a view of providing its education program through the main sports body in the state.
Sport NSW Chief Executive Officer, Darren Simpson believes the two organizations share a similar goal. “We are always looking to provide education, training and the sharing of best practise with our members.”
“A core goal of Sport NSW is to encourage more people of all ages to play sport.”
“The lessons learnt in and around sport can last a lifetime. It is for this reason that Sport NSW is so supportive of DMWD and its plan to deliver the program around sport.”
DMWD Founder and Chairman, Daniel Prasad is thrilled with the endorsement from the state’s main sports body.
“DMWD is looking forward to building a strong and positive relationship with Sport NSW into the future and to work with Sport NSW in its endeavours to educate young people.”
“To be able to deliver the DMWD Education Program through Sport NSW is the best possible outcome for the DMWD Foundation. It means that 16-24 year olds playing with sporting teams, organizations, under the umbrella of Sport NSW will have access to the DMWD Education program.”
