DMWD Refund Policy

We all make mistakes so DMWD will try to be fair with you. That’s our commitment to all our donors big or small, online or offline. This  policy relates to all donations by cash, cheque and online electronic transfers.

Should an error be made in the amount of any donation, the donor has 60 days in which to notify the Don’t Mess With Drugs (DMWD) Foundation of the error. All requests for refunds must be made in writing and sent by:

  • email to info@dmwd.com.au
  • post to
    The Accounting Officer-Donations,
    DMWD Foundation, L4,
83 Mount St ,North Sydney, NSW 2065.

The request should include all details of the initial donation, including date, amount, name of the donor, the tax invoice number and the nature of the error.

Any tax invoice issued for the incorrect amount immediately becomes void and invalid, and a new tax invoice will be issued for the amount of the corrected donation.

Naturally, should an error be made by DMWD Foundation or any of its financial institution(s), full refunds will be made immediately upon notification of the error and all costs borne by the DMWD Foundation.

Fraudulent transactions will not be (automatically) refunded but reported to the appropriate authorities including the financial institutions concerned. The DMWD Foundation will act in accordance with the law.

Please Note that refunds of donations pledged will not be done just because you have changed your mind. It is for this reason that we ask that you make your choice carefully before donating in the first place.

The DMWD Foundation is under no obligation whatsoever to give a refund if an error has been made on your part, but will endeavour to ensure that any genuine errors (such as to the amount donated) are rectified. The DMWD Foundation will consider your request for a refund in cases of hardship or unforeseen circumstances at the time when the donation was made.

The DMWD Foundation is a registered charity and reserves the right to deduct any bank or transaction charges for any refund processed onto the donor, it is unlikely DMWD will do so if the error is genuine. Should an error be detected and a request for refund be made after 60 days have expired, the DMWD Foundation regrets that it is unable to refund any monies.

We hope that this is a fair policy. Thank you for your donation. We appreciate your support and feedback.

BE GOOD. DO GOOD.   @dmwdfoundation
